Trauma Therapy

Trauma Therapy

I am profoundly passionate and committed to working with people surviving trauma and complex PTSD. This is my focused field of therapy because I am so deeply moved by my client’s wisdom of their trauma, expertise in courage, skilfulness in survival, and determination to reclaim their lives. My main aims are to work with clients to feel comfortable and inspired to re/discover ways of becoming liberated from the impacts of the trauma, and empowered in their future choices.

I have worked extensively with people who survived complex trauma, including violence, abuse and neglect. I have also worked trauma with veterans, first responders, domestic violence perpetrators and victims/survivors, and custodial sexual offending.

Therapy for complex trauma and PTSD may feel scary. Whilst it certainly takes some bravery to discuss certain things, it’s worthwhile mentioning that we only talk about things you’re comfortable with. We also often create a ‘safety net’ before talking about anything difficult. Of value too, it’s important in therapy to have a laugh, celebrate successes, get creative and become inspired, and take time exploring things important to you and what you do well.
