Fees

Margaret River Counselling and Psychotherapy

$180 full fee

$150 concession rate

($190 – $235 for NDIS clients)

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, the Medicare rebate is currently $82. This means your out of pocket expense will be $68 or $98, depending on the fee you pay.

Fees are well below the industry recommended rate of $280

Which fee do I pay?

If you can afford it, please pay the full fee of $180.

If you can’t afford the full fee, you can choose to pay a concession rate of $150. We rely on an honesty system.

We also have a ‘pay it forward’ system

If you’re paying $180, you can elect to donate $10 of the fee to someone who cannot afford the concession rate. This comes out of the practice’s benefit.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments can be changed without a fee outside of 48 hours. Cancellations and no-shows within 48 hours of your appointment incur a fee, unless another client can be organised to fill your space.

What goes into the price?

Whilst we do our best to keep fees well below the industry recommended rate of $280, some people still ask about pricing. Outside of the 50 minute session, there is also about 30 minutes of preparation and administration work. There is also a large university debt, many years of loss of income due to study, large costs and time in ongoing training, and many hidden overhead costs.

Unfortunately, private therapy can be out of reach for some. If this is the case for you, contact your local GP.
