Psychological Approaches
As a trauma-informed psychotherapist and counsellor in Margaret River, I provide several evidence-based therapies that are respectful, empowering, and bespoke for each person:
EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing is a neuroscience-informed psychotherapy that facilitates your mind, brain and body’s natural ability to overcome traumatic memories and restore balance.
Narrative Therapy: A highly dignified and collaborative form of therapy that positions you as the expert of your life. Narrative Therapy helps you to re-author your self-narrative (your identity & relationships) to overcome problems and create a preferred sense of Self.
Parts Work: An incredibly compassionate form of psychotherapy that heals and harmonises the parts of your inner world. Parts work supports you to develop a healthy relationship with aspects of yourself (shame, anxiety, etc).
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy: ACT is a mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This modality aims to empower you to have a meaningful life aligned with your values. ACT supports self-acceptance and emotional flexibility.

Mental Health Therapy in Margaret River
Hello,
My name is Blake, I offer compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD.
Having dual professions in psychotherapy and mental health social work, my approach is grounded in depth-orientated therapy that understands the impact of systemic inequalities.
I’ve always believed that my clients have been my biggest teachers for therapy. This has kept my approach relational, grounded, and collaborative by valuing you as the expert of your own life.
Similar to psychologists, psychotherapist mental health social workers provide psychological therapies under Medicare and Department of Veterans Affairs. We provide the same modalities with a slightly different feel.
If you’re looking for a counsellor in Margaret River who offers empathy and authenticity, I warmly invite you to get in touch.
Contact and Initial Appointments
I acknowledge the Wadandi People (Saltwater People) of the Noongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the land where I live, work, surf, and play. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and their ongoing connection and care for Wadandi Boodja. I acknowledge that First Nations sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal Land.
