Anxiety and Depression Counselling
Have you caught yourself worrying excessively, feeling irritable, having difficulty sleeping, or experiencing unexplained medical problems? You might be suffering from anxiety.
Do you notice yourself often sad or feeling empty, having constant or extreme guilt/shame, feeling pessimistic or hopelessness, noticing irritability and difficulty concentrating, or experiencing lack of energy? You might be suffering from depression.
Anxiety and depression also often go hand in hand. Perhaps you feel anxious in social situations and are then harsh towards yourself for thinking, feeling, or acting a certain way. Or, perhaps you’ve been feeling low and finding it extremely difficult to get motivated, and the worry about not succeeding leads to giving up. Other issues can also come up from anxiety and depression, such as substance use, anger, addictions (including work or sport), and low self-esteem.
I’m well practiced in many effective therapies for both depression and anxiety. It’s about finding what works for you, where your anxiety and depression stems from, what makes them continue, and the presence or absence of things in your life to help you recover. Together, we can find ways to reconnect yourself with inspiration, self-compassion, hope, courage, and the other feel-good ingredients to help you re/discover you.
